A kit will be provided as part of the class fee and will include:
▪ Pre pleated and blocked fabric ready to smock.
▪ Size 5 Crewel needle
▪ Notes outlining the basic smocking stitches
▪ Smocking design using the stitches covered
▪ One skein of DMC
▪ DMC Broder
During the day you will learn the basic smocking stitches and also look at how they can be combined to make patterns. The teacher will also briefly demonstrate the use of a pleater and preparation for smocking.
